Our ministry staff is committed to sharing the love of Christ through service, leadership, and care. Together, they work to nurture spiritual growth and strengthen the church community.
Reverend Carolyn Poteet
Senior Pastor
Pastor Carolyn has been our Lead Pastor since 2019. She has a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School & is currently working in her PhD at Trinity Seminary. She has worked for many years in various ministry areas including World Vision overseas.
Carolyn enjoys visits with her mom and brother in VA and has another brother in the DC area. She is an adored aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is an avid fan of Jane Austen and could beat anyone at Austen trivia.
Reverend Cinda Isler
Assistant Pastor For Senior Adult Ministry
Cinda was ordained as a minister at MLUPC in 2010 to serve in hospice ministry. Since that time, she has served as a solo pastor in two congregations: in Clinton, PA and in Burgettstown, PA.
Returning to MLEPC in 2022, she is now Assistant Pastor of Senior Adult Ministry.
She and her husband Scott have been married since 1978 and have 5 adult sons, 3 wonderful daughters-in-law, and 4 granddaughters.
Kellyn von Arx
Director of Family Ministries
Kellyn joined MLEPC in January 2025 as Director of Family Ministries. In this role, she oversees all aspects of children’s and youth ministries, supporting children and youth Sunday School, Children’s Worship, youth gatherings, events, and retreats. With a background in ministry leadership, teaching, and design, Kellyn is passionate about creating spaces where young people can grow in faith and families feel supported in their discipleship journey.
Kellyn and her husband, Drew, have three children who bring joy and energy to daily life. Outside of ministry, she enjoys creative projects, a good cup of coffee, and being with her family.
Brant Toulouse
Director of Media and Engagement
Brant joined MLEPC in the fall of 2016 as Youth Director and transitioned to his current role in early 2023. With a passion for design, hospitality, and digital media, he leads our media and tech teams, working to bridge the gap between digital and in-person ministry. Brant also oversees the Encounter Ministry team, which focuses on strengthening MLEPC’s hospitality and presence in the community.
Brant and his wife, Mallory, have two sons, Vaughn and Graham, and a dog named Archie. He is a Kingdom Kids Parent and advocate. When he’s not hanging with the tech team, you’ll likely find him in his office creating designs—or sneaking a donut on Sunday mornings.
Jonathan Chamberlain
Facilities Manager
Jonathan started in his role as Facilities Manager in December of 2022. He joined us after working as a painting contractor for many years. His goal is to ensure our facilities are clean and accessible, functioning well, and welcoming to others. His hope is to create safe spaces to be used for connection, healing, education, and service. Jonathan has a heart for people.
He and his family live in Mt. Lebanon. When not looking after our buildings, Jonathan plays music and is involved in creative activities. His background is in Art.
Laura Duffy
Senior Adult Ministry Associate
Joined the staff in 2009 as Senior Adult Ministry Associate working with our senior adults ages 60 and over. She utilizes her compassion, caring and Stephen Ministry training to help our seniors stay connected to our church by visiting them in their homes, care facilities and hospitals. She leads our Knitting and Crocheting small group as well as helps our seniors to connect with social services and programs.
Laura and her husband, Mike, have three grown children, a daughter-in-law and one granddaughter. They are often traveling to Chicago and Seattle to visit 2 of their children and their granddaughter.
Marcia Pratt
Kingdom Kids Preschool Director
Marcia started her role as Director in Fall of 2019 and has been KKCP advocate and leader for the past 15 years. She has a passion for international families, special needs children, teaching and incorporating the Gospel in the classroom.
She just celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary with her husband Tom. They have 5 daughters and 3 grandsons. As a family, they love spending time at Indian Lake.
Support Staff
Our support staff play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by providing essential assistance and expertise behind the scenes. Their dedication and reliability create a strong foundation that allows the entire team to succeed.
Pat Crosby
Patricia is a dedicated member, serving faithfully as an organist, elder, and part of the prison ministry team. Her passion for worship and outreach reflects her deep commitment to sharing Christ’s love both within the church and beyond its walls. When she's not serving, Patricia enjoys cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates.
Shannon Hohowski
Shannon has faithfully served as our financial administrator since 2010. Her experience and expertise are essential in helping MLEPC manage all our payments, invoices and ministry finances.
Heather Charron
Heather is an Admin at the church, helping in all areas of church ministry. She works closely with the Lead Pastor working on the church’s Sunday bulletin and announcements as well as working with staff and ministry teams on events and communication.
Renee Skinner
Renee started working with the staff in the Fall of 2022 as our Administrator. She is our "do it all" support staff leader. Renee has a passion for discipleship, teaching, and cheese.
Blake Petty
Blake's tenure at MLEPC started in 2010, he is our longest standing custodian and we are super blessed to have him in our support staff.
Dan Kennelly
Dan has been a custodian at MLEPC since 2013. He is an expert mouse hunter.
